Hard-to-Find Infiniti Parts: A Buyer's Guide for the Q45, QX4, Q40, Q30, QX30, Q70 & Q70L

Some Infiniti models are hard to find parts for simply because they're old — like the Q45 (1990–2006) and the QX4 (1997–2003), Infiniti's first SUV. Others, like the Q40 (a one-year rebadge of the G37 sedan for 2015) or the Q30 and QX30 (2017–2019, built on a shared platform with Mercedes-Benz), had short production runs that never built up a large secondary parts market. The Q70 and Q70L (2014–2019) sit in between — recently discontinued but already becoming harder to source for certain components. If you own any of these seven models, here's what to prioritize when sourcing parts. Structural and support components are often overlooked until something else fails because of them. Radiator supports and core supports hold your cooling system in place and are commonly damaged in front-end collisions; if you're buying a used Q45, QX4, or Q70, it's worth having these inspected. Splash shields, wheel arch liners, and mud flaps protect the underbody and wheel wells from road debris — missing or cracked liners are extremely common on older Q45s and worth replacing before they let water into places it shouldn't be. Emblems & badges are a small detail, but genuine Infiniti badges for the Q40 and QX30 in particular are already becoming collector items given how few were sold. Glass and weather sealing age differently than mechanical parts, but they fail just the same. Windshields, side windows, and rear glass all crack or develop stress fractures over time, and on the QX30 and Q30 — built on a platform shared with Mercedes-Benz — glass part numbers can be confusing to search for online, so we recommend confirming by VIN. Window regulators and window motors are a common failure point on the Q45 specifically, where a window that won't go up is one of the most frequent used-car complaints. Wiper motors, sunroofs, and weatherstripping around doors and trunks all show their age the same way — through leaks, noise, or reduced function — and are worth addressing early since water intrusion damages everything downstream, including headliners, sun visors, and floor mats. For the Q70 and Q70L specifically, exhaust systems and available performance packages are worth researching if you're looking to differentiate a fairly understated sedan, and factory or aftermarket body kits are available for owners who want a more distinctive look on any of these seven models. Because these cars span three decades of Infiniti's lineup, we strongly recommend sending us your VIN before ordering — it's the fastest way to confirm a part will actually fit your specific model and year.
